The Depot was a complex renovation and re-purposing of one of the most iconic buildings in Reno, Nevada. Located on East Fourth Street, The Depot was the original train station for the Nevada-California-Oregon railway that connected Virginia City to the main Transcontinental Railway. The 100-year-old train depot served as the passenger train station transporting cargo and passengers from one rail line to the next. Originally built in 1910, we were faced with the challenge to bring this vacant building back to life. We transformed the building into a full restaurant, brewery and distillery using cutting edge construction techniques against old methods of a century ago. The efforts of the Pinecrest Construction team breathed new life in to the dilapidated building that last served passengers in 1937.
